Computing

Gordon first started using computers in the mid 1980's when he was a draftsperson/engineer with the MWD in Auckland. This computing was early CAD based drawing and specification writting.

An animated gif of a person at a computerIn the late 1980's he brought his first laptop that used 2 x 3.5 floppy disks, one for the OS and programs and the other for document storage.

Gordon progressively learnt computing skills that enhanced his art, engineering and business abilities. Along the way, he designed several web sites, ran a business, published several books and produced a lot of graphic art to support these ventures.

In October 2008, Gordon enrolled in NCC3 at EIT in Napier to legitimize his computer knowledge with a qualification. He completed NCC3 in Febuary 2009 and commenced a BCS at EIT . Gordon is completing his final semister in the BCS.
